Fashion for Charity Benefit: New York Fashion Week's most highly anticipated star-studded grand finale, will light up the runway for all things fashionable and charitable to pay tribute to 9/11. The event was hosted by MTV personality Lenay Dunn, with a special performance by Grammy Award-winning superstar Pras Michel of The Fugees. Fashion show headliner of the evening will feature renowned fashion designer Raul Penaranda; who was recently declared as "one of the fastest growing emerging fashion entrepreneurs" by Forbes Magazine. The entertainment line-up includes a LIVE performance by electrifying violinist Sarah Charness, along with Joey "J-Harris" Fleming, an art exhibit by Peace Simon and music by DJ Reach. The show stopping charity event closed out fashion week.
Sarah Charness, the electric violinist, took on 2014 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. The fashion showcase is New York City's single largest media event, taking place twice a year (February & September), one of the most well-known arts and cultural institutions in the world.
"This event provides top designers with an international platform to showcase their collections to more than 100,000 industry insiders from around the world, including buyers, editors, retailers, celebrities, VIPs, and more," says Charness. "I believe that my music coincides with the premier event worldwide, as both reflect style, beauty, art and fashion."

"I look forward to this special tribute to honor those we lost, while showcasing some of New York's most innovative and creative talents within the fashion industry," says Mike Jean. Fashionable talents making their mark includes: Luxury Footwear Designer Tania Spinelli and Celebrity Jewelry Designer Meredith Marks whose coveted pieces have been worn by Courtney Cox and Charlize Theron.

Confirmed guest list attendees included: Theodore Leaf - star of Secret Guide to Fabulous, Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola (J-Wow), Ramona Singer- star of the Real Housewives of New York and Celebrity Photographer Patrick McMullan.
A violinist since the age of four, Sarah Charness captivates audiences with her vivacious performances and the vibrant sound of her trademark hot pink, six-string electric violin. Her unique musical style – the fusion of classical, pop, and electronic dance music - has thrilled fans around the world.
Sarah has appeared at Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, the Prague Opera House, The Chicago Theatre, Massey Hall, and top nightclubs across North America.
Sarah regularly performs both the national anthem and half-time shows for the New York Knicks and was featured with the Knicks City Dancers at madison Square Garden.
She toured North America as a soloist with the Trans-Siberia Orchestra and has performed with Roger Daltry of the Who, Josh Grobin, the Jonas Brothers, and with Gabe Saporta of Cobra Starship. Sarah has opened for Diana Ross, Neyo, Flo'Rida, and Jennifer Hudson and her electric performance capped the 100th anniversary celebration of Grand Central Terminal. Glee cast member Darren Criss highlighted Sarah in his recording of Bob Dylan's New Morning.
Sarah has graced the runway in prominent fashion shows - Pronovias, Vera WAng, Neiman Marcus Fashion Night Out, and Elene Cassis during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
She was featured on The Today Show, New York 1, and NBC's NY Nightly News. She will be releasing her first electronic dance music single this summer featuring her hot pink electric violin.
