EYES IN™ Magazine Editor-in-Chief Vivian Van Dijk covered Web Summit 2014 live in Dublin where she saw an innovative new smartphone app called Clickin'. Clickin' is an interesting social app from India that allows you to express your emotions at an amazing level.
Clickin' was co-founded by once dating, now husband-and-wife team Nikhil & Sitara Mulchandani. The duo met on a rainy night in Goa, India, and a true Bollywood-esque romance soon ensued. Clickin' was a byproduct of the eccentricity of the relationship. Sitara felt a compelling need to express herself every time Nikhil infuriated her and somehow neither words nor emoticons managed to suffice. After months of brainstorming, wireframing and (obviously) arguing they finally arrived at Clickin', the app to turn your relationship into a game of numbers. And needless to say, Nikhil is constantly in the red!
Nikhil started his career in consulting, but quickly found that giving strategic advice on businesses he had no clue on didn't quite work for him. So at the tender age of 20 he started his first venture in the phone insurance industry – it scaled rapidly and then bombed.
Now, he is a an active angel investor in Indian start-ups and a Partner at Ixora Ventures, an early stage investment firm.
Nikhil holds a degree in Law and Business from Warwick University, and a Post Graduate Diploma from IE Business School Madrid. At Clickin' he is acting CEO, CFO and spends most of his time populating the whiteboard with illegible scribbles.
From Devil Wears Prada to Silicon Valley and with a few stops in between, Sitara began her professional life in Fashion Styling at Harpers Bazaar London, before moving to a boutique corporate PR & Marketing firm. Seven years later she co-founded Clickin'. A global nomad by way of Lagos, London, Montreal, Mumbai and now Delhi, Sitara drives Clickin's marketing initiatives in between eating and trying to decipher Nikhil's illegible scrawls.
Sitara holds a Bachelors Degree in Economics and International Relations from McGill University, Montreal, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Journalism from the London School of Journalism.
So take your emotions to the next level with the new Clickin' app!
