Sport Summit is Europe’s premier sporting meeting place. After a hugely successful first year in 2014, Sport Summit is coming back to Web Summit 2015. It will run for the opening two days of Web Summit, exact dates being November 3 & 4, and will take place in the RDS.
Sport Summit tackles the the issues defining modern day sport. Sport Summit brings together the greats of the game, those who run the game & those who are changing the game. Last year Sport Summit saw Champions League winner Rio Ferdinand tell us how social media impacted on the life of a modern day athlete. We saw Tony Hawk give an insight into how technology is impacting the skateboarding world.
This year Chris Froome will speak about the science of cycling performance and the secrets of his success. Edwin van der Sar, Marketing Manager at Ajax will be talking about marketing the most popular but controversial sport on the planet. With the role of technology in sport becoming increasingly visible, the Sport Summit speakers will tackle everything from its social impact to how the business of sport has become a multi-trillion dollar industry.
