2016 TRANOI NYC

Editor-in-Chief Vivian Van Dijk had the privelege to attend this years Tranoi event in New York City. 

The best of international womenswear designers debuted their Fall/Winter 2016 collections at the third edition of Tranoï New York at the Tunnel in Chelsea from Sunday, February 21 through Tuesday, February 23. Headed by David Hadida, CEO of Tranoï, the boutique tradeshow previewed the latest from ready-to-wear, footwear, leather, jewelry, accessories and fur.

New designers at Tranoï this season included Byronesque, Brandon Sun, Catherine Osti, Drifter, Jean-Michel Cazabat, Katie Gallagher, Ground Zero, and Harbison to name a few. Other notable exhibitors included Martone Cycling and Yunotme. Key trends seen at the show included fur as seen in Brandon Sun’s first full fur collection in modern silhouettes such as a baseball jacket, use of fur details on footwear and other accessories and bold use of colors such as hunter green and mariner navy, as well as printed graphic artwork seen on clothing.

Earlier this month, Tranoï announced Simon Collins as its U.S. Creative Advisor, who was instrumental in bringing on new designer talent for the 3rd New York Edition. On February 22, Tranoï celebrated with a rooftop party at Hotel Americano, hosted by Armand Hadida (Artistic Director or Tranoï + Founder of L’Éclaireur), Simon Collins, and Lorenzo Martone.
