EYES IN Magazine Editor-in-Chief Vivian Van Dijk is live at Haute Couture, Paris Fashion Week. She enjoyed attending the film of couturier Stéphane Rolland and viewing the designs themselves in the gallery. She had a wonderful time meeting the notable designer and loves to share images.
Vivian says, "Stéphane Rolland's designs walk the line in between art and pure femininity. Rolland's subtle play with what to reveal of a woman's body is the core of each design. In the art of the exquisite use of exotic materials, you see different unique combinations - another signature of Rolland. I see pure art and more history-in-the-making."

Acclaimed couturier Stéphane Rolland, member of the Chambre Syndicale de La Haute Couture, delivers a unique architectural design aesthetic, coveted by prolific personalities as diverse as Beyoncé and Sheikha Mozah of Qatar.
Parisian by birth and raised in South of France, Argentina and the Caribbean, Rolland was educated at the École de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne. Nine months into an internship at Cristobal Balenciaga - aged 20 - he was made artistic manager for menswear.
Five years on, Rolland launched his independent design company that saw him introduce a practical approach to his luxurious aesthetic, with uniforms for an extensive client base, including Eurostar and Royal Brunei Airlines. His career developed further as he was named official partner of the Cannes Film Festival, and twice nominated for Best Costumes at the prestigious Les Molières awards.
In 1997 - aged 31 - Rolland was assigned haute couture artistic director at Jean Louis-Scherrer, making him the youngest of 20 official couturiers at the time. Ten years later he asserted creative independence and launched his eponymous Maison de Couture at 10 Avenue George V, the very address at which his career with Balenciaga began 20 years earlier.
Having affirmed his unique talent as a grand couturier with twelve remarkable collections, Stéphane Rolland now embarks on launching his much-anticipated Prêt-à-Porter line in 2013.
