EYES IN™ Magazine Editor-in-Chief Vivian Van Dijk visited backstage during Tranoi New York and enjoyed seeing the latest collections from both Shaft Jeans and FurLand.
Tranoi - which means "between us" in Italian - was founded in 1998 and is one of the leading fashion trade show organizers in France. It hosts events six times a year in Paris, including Tranoi Femme, Tranoi Homme and Tranoi Preview, attracting more than 30,000 visitors from around the world per year.
For more than 14 years, Tranoi has organized designer trade shows during the Paris fashion weeks, launching the careers of MSGM, Damir Doma, Maxime Simoens amongst many others. It has also presented the collections of Rick Owens, Acne Studios, Dries van Noten and Bernhard Wilhelm. It embodies artistic installations, designer exhibitions, catwalk shows, fashion parties and a variety fo events which enliven the city during its fashion week.
With Armand and Martine Hadida, the founders of L'Eclaireur, as Artistic Directors, Tranoi presents itself as more than a trade show; it is an artistic platform created for a strict selection for more than 1000 remakrable designers to meet the most influential fashion ambassadors each season. This strict selection makes their show what it is: a valuable source of truly different, international creativity and oustatding, high-quality talent.
In order to herald upcoming talent outside of the fashion world, Tranoi collaborates with an artist or artist colelctive to create teh visual identity each season. In the past, Tranoi has worked with Manish Arora, Andre Saraiva, Pierre-Roy Camille, Aerosyn Lex Mestrovic, and this season THTF, a young collective from Lyon, France.
Joining its already established Parisian shows, Tranoi brings its iconic trade show to New York City to sahre its identity adapted to the US market.
This September, for the second time, Tranoin New York returns to one of the most distinctive locations of NYC, The Tunnel, to bring its boutique salon that puts the finest designers in contact with the most influential players in the industry. With more than fourteen years of European fashion trade show experience and a worldwide network of buyers behind it, Tranoi is proud to cross the Atlantic to bring our central, intimate and atypical show to the New York market.
