Type of Client
Creating bespoke, individual pieces or collections for private commissions is just as important to me as being a conceptual design/manufacturing consultant on major projects. I approach every project professionally, wholeheartedly and with passion.
My Specific Talents
I am particularly skilled at designing unique, functional domestic objects for the dining and entertainment sector, for example – tableware, cutlery and compelling centrepieces. My work carries a theme of simplicity, quality and innovation, often incorporating more than one material. My role is to give functional objects a very special touch – to create pieces which evoke a defined, authentic connection with your environment.
The Design Process
Depending on the project brief, I will familiarise with your environment and observe the people within it – whether that be home, restaurant, club or other organisation. I am drawn to key details and behaviours which I will transfer to my artwork, tailoring my designs to your setting. This gives the pieces unique character and provokes an emotional connection between user and object; simultaneously arousing an inspirational affinity between user and setting. In this way, I make brands come to life – brand identity and attributes are reflected within a functional, provocative object or collection. The same can be achieved with individual commissions, for example, designing objects for the home which evoke emotion and reflect your personal lifestyle and setting.
Original to Bespoke
I am happy to adapt my original pieces to compliment your particular environment, through incorporating a bespoke design, colour or material.
